{Exxon- You piss me off}

I don't want to get all political on y'all but this just gets in my crawl...I had to buy a new car and completely overhaul my budget and you are posting record profits? You should be ashamed of yourself.

{Artsy Fartsy}

I wish I had more time to be creative...I just found this blog , I'm an Open [Sketch]Book, and she makes me miss my days as an art student {where I didn't realize how good I had it}...Chad bought me a bunch of drawing stuff a while back, it is just collecting stuff.

I will have to do something about that.

{Baby Girl Eubanks}

So, I love photography, LOVE IT. I wish that is what I could do for a living. Sadly I am here plugging away at my job. Anywhoo, I also love this blog, such cute kid and family pics. I was looking at it today and I came across this picture. I swear that this is what our daughter {who is already named but I won't share:)} will look like. She is so cute!!!!

{Laundry, Tennis, Dishes and Mad Men}

Well, we did loose but we didn't get our beehinds kicked :) They did ask if we worked, never had that question asked of me before...We lost the first set, won the second {quite soundly} and then lost the third. I will have to say that 26 pounds lighter does help the tennis game!

Our weekend was so laid back, it was WONDERFUL! I got home from work on Friday around 2 and I didn't leave my house until last night at 6 to play tennis! Every towel, sheet, piece of clothing and dish is clean in my house and I have cleaned out all of the drawers and closets to donate to charity. I watched tons of movies this weekend and slept late. I am so relaxed!

We watched Mad Men last night. LOVE it. I was an Ad major in college {why I didn't feel the need for a skill I do not know} and I think that made me love the show even more. I will definitely watch again. I loved the clothes!

{All about Me}

Preppy Money Penny and Magnolia Belle's Musings have tagged me {I still can't believe people other than my mom read this thing :)} To list 5 songs I am embarrassed to admit I like, well I only like embarrassing songs so I am going to take a different spin and just list 5 embarrassing things about me.

1. My BFF and I made up a dance to the Backstreet Boys song "As Long as You Love Me". We have it on video, we were in the 11th grade, people have seen this!

2. I peed in my pants at a birthday party in the 7th grade. My friend Caroline does this monkey thing and then she acts like a weightlifter, I couldn't control myself- it is one of the funniest things EVER.

3. I threw was on the track team and threw shot put in the 10th grade. I was 130 pounds, not some big mama, I was not good at all...

4. I really was Sweet Sixteen and never been kissed.

5. I have a stuffed animal I got in kindergarten that I like to sleep with when Chad is gone at night. Puffy is her name, she is a great listener :) She has gone to Hawaii, the Virgin Islands and College. She is a will traveled Puff a Lump!

That's all I got. Jayme and I are off to play our tennis match at Chateu Elan...the women probably don't work and take time off from shopping to hone their tennis skills. We are going to get our beehinds kicked!

{Happy Weekend!}

We have been busy around our house. We talked about putting our house on the market and moving and realized we just wanted to stay here and pay off ALL of our debt. It would be so great to be completely debt free when mini eubanks arrive one day...We did a complete overhaul of our budget and spending habits and I think this will be really good for us! No more cleaning lady :(, no more Netflix, no more Dish Network...NO MORE DEBT!!!

Today we cleaned our all of our drawers and closets and are giving tons away and I am selling some things on eBay. I have never done the eBay thing so we'll see how this works. I am selling some handbags (Michael Kors, Coach, Vera...) and hope to make just a little dough while cleaning out my closet.

I leave you with a photo that makes me want to buy Lilly, clearly this marketing tactic works...

{There is wonderful joy ahead...}

I read Proverbs daily, and I read the day of the month that it is. So today as I was turning to Proverbs 17 {which includes one of my favorite verses- 22: A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength} and my bible fell open to 1 Peter Chapter 1. I looked down and saw what I was so longing to hear, I had to share it. Sometimes He does speak to you and you just need to share that with others...

1 Peter 1:6- So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine.

{Ain't nothin' finer in the land...}

Only six weeks until kickoff. My Dawgs are headed to the big game this year, I can feel it...

This article talks about my all time favorite Georgia player. He grew up in Snellvegas also and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I have got to go shopping and get me a cute red dress!
Bulldog fans- close your eyes, smell the bourbon, feel the heat of the sun on the warm fall day and listen...
"Heroes have graced the field before, with the hearts, bodies and minds of which the Bulldog Nation can be justifiably proud. The tradition of unbridled excellence demonstrated by these, whose memory spans more than a full century. And now a new breed of Bulldog stands ready to take the field abound to assume the reigns of the Georgia forebearers and continue that tradition, understanding that there is no tradition more worthy of envy, no institution more worthy of such loyalty, as the University of Georgia. As we prepare for another meeting Between the Hedges, let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the Red and Black, with two words, two simple words which express the sentiment of the entire Bulldog Nation...
{now we are all on our feet and then almost 100,00 fans, in unison yell}
"Go Dogs!"
I get chills! I am going to have to go listen to Corey Smith's song now...Every Dawg Has its Day

{Patios and Bonnanos}

Our backyard is complete! This summer we extended our patio with brick pavers, built raised flower beds and planted lots of plants and got some furniture. Here is the completed project, it looks amazing if I do say so myself.

And...my Bonnanos finally got here. Are they not cute as a bug's ear??? These will be perfect for Georgia games!

Looking down the yard, Chad and Charlotte admiring the new digs...
My beautiful hydrangia, pink and green!
New furniture from Walmart!
Lantana, Zenia and Sweet Potato Vine
Mandvilla

Rue La La

I heart Rue La La. I got 6 pairs of Hanky Pankys for $50 a while back and today I got this Vineyard Vines dress. Originally $165 and I got it for $55 {I also had 2 credits from friends buying things}. Let me know if you want an invite to the store, you know I only roll with the uberexlusive!

{The little things}

I have been working for 4 and a half years, at the same company. Last summer I was put in a management role, our Coordinator position started reporting to me, I reported to the director. Well, the first girl under my tutelage was promoted after 2 months {I know how to pick em} and we hired someone else in August. She had just graduated from college {UNC no less} and was starting her first job. Well, she just got promoted today! I am so proud of her and I told her so. Here is her response:

Thank you so much!!

And Allison, I absolutely must take the time out to say thank you. As God has been teaching me lately, there are people He will place in your life for a purpose. There is absolutely no way I would have gotten to where I am without your training, patience, and push to help me press out of my comfort zone. I really do appreciate EVERYTHING that you have done for me. You are an awesome manager and individual and I was extremely blessed to have someone like you on my side at the inception of my career.

Though I hated to see you go, I am proud of your promotion and excited that you get to experience new opportunities for your personal growth because you deserve to be happy. I sincerely thank you for what you have meant in my life.

Ummmm, tear jerker anyone! I just had to share this. With all of the economic downturn, layoffs, no one meeting goals and stress, it is so nice to see the good in those you work with. I will be saving this email in my smile file for a rainy day...

{TGIF}

I am so glad it is Friday. This has been a crazy week, so glad to go home in 3 hours...

We have NOTHING planed for this weekend, I am ecstatic! I hope it rains all weekend and I can read books and watch movies in my p.j.'s with the hubs and Charlotte. I just signed up for Netflix {how behind the times am I??} And have The Other Boleyn Girl and Atonement at home. The Other Boleyn Girl is probably one of the best books I have ever read, I couldn't put it down, so I am excited to see the movie.

We will be going to Wally World to get the patio furniture I have had my eye on. Then the patio should be complete! I will be sure to post an updated picture of the flowers, there are about 4-5 hydrangea blooms, and they are pink and green!

{Longest Week EVER}

This week is just dragging on, I feel like it is never going to end...I am ready for the weekend, with nothing to do. I am reading a good book right now though, for Book Club. This will be our inaugural meeting so I am not really sure what I am doing...We are reading Little Bitty Lies by Mary Kay Andrews. I liked Hissy Fit so much I thought I would give this one a shot.

I am listening to The Tenth Circle on my commute. Not quite the feel good book I was going for...but it is good. Next in my c.d. player is Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

Any tips for a successful Book Club? This book has discussion topics so I was going to read through those and make some snacks that tie in to the book, what else?

{Happy Belated 4th of July!}

Chad and I testing our marriage while teaching him how to ski...
Emily posing on the Slip 'N Slide
My parent's house, decked out for the 4th.
The Corn Hole viewing galley. There were some intense games...

Sweet Holly and Chad on a boat ride

We had a wonderful weekend, exhausting, but good. We went to my parent's house early Friday morning for the annual Hunt Family 4th of July Extravaganza. We had Corn Hole, Snow Cones and yes, a slip 'n slide. Shout out to 1984!! We had tons of family in town and it was great to chill and catch up.

On Saturday we got up early and went skiing, the lake is just to busy during the day to do anything, you will most likely get run over by a jet ski! We watched the William's sisters duke it out at the big W and then then Chad and I played golf with Todd and Nathan at Hard Labor Creek. It was so fun, Nathan is quite the little Tiger in the making, I think Chad wants to be his manager. We watched the Ritz Carlton's fireworks that night- AMAZING.

Yesterday we went to church with my parents. The offertory song was "You Raise Me Up". Second week in a row one of our wedding songs was sang at church! My dad and I danced to that song and it was, without a doubt, one of the saddest moments of my life...So, sitting next to my daddy while some one sang made me tear up! Then we went to Judy and Johnny's for the Eubanks' festivities.

It was a busy weekend packed with lots of family but we had a great time!

{4th of July is a gift giving Holiday...}

In case you didn't know. Look what my handsome fellow got me today! I found my new obsession, Nordstrom Rack, I can't believe have never been here! I have had my eye on this bag for FOREVER and when I walked in the store it was on a rack right inside the door! Well, I had to call the hubs to tell him the good news, my goodness it even has a polka dot pattern on the inside. When he got home today he asked me to clean out the back of the car and there it was. I was just beside myself with excitement. And the best part? It is over $225 off the original price! Oh Kate, I love you so...but not as much as I love my sweet husband! Thanks honey!
