{Inspiration}

May I introduce you to the most wonderful dress I have ever seen?

It has ever element I love, lets review: It has a bow, ruffles, a popped collar AND it is shiny? That is AHHHHHMAZING!

This dress is what is keeping my hand out of the cookie jar. We have a couple of weddings to attend this year, and I sure would look nice in this little number.

I LOVE IT!!!

Additional bonus, the model's eyebrows look like mine when they are left to their own devices. Its like this dress was MADE for me.

We had an exhausting, busy, wonderful weekend. It was one of those weekends that couldn't have been better, well if it had been sunny it would have been better...

On Saturday we went to check out the new farmers market. It moved into a REALLY old gas station so it can be indoors and go on year round. We got lots of fruits and veggies, eggs, tea and this book. Passing: Stories through the history of Hoschton and Braselton, Georgia. Seeing as neither one of us are from here I was dying to read and learn all about this sweet little part of the South we call home. I have read the first chapter and so far it is wonderful! I hope it covers the part about Kim Bassinger buying Braselton back in the '90s....

Then we went to heaven on earth, Target, to get a new vacuum. GAH, I love that place! I think I am officially old, the highlight of my weekend was getting a new vacuum. It is amazing, it even has a retractable cord. I see many less arguments in our home now that Chad can't just toss the cord in the closet after he puts in the vacuum.

We ended the day with a little dinner with Lauren and Jonathan. Steak, asparagus and lots of wine made for a wonderful evening.

Today we spent the day clearing out our room, patching holes and cleaning the baseboards so it can get painted tomorrow. Do you know how much dust grows under your bed over 4 years? Yeah, its GrOsS! Now we are engrossed in a Jersey Shore marathon...

AND, today is my parents 34th wedding anniversary! I sure am glad they got married :)

Hope you enjoyed your weekend, yay for Monday!!!

{Gettin' our fitness on...}

Maybe some people just aren't gym people. As you know one of our goals for 2010 is to become healthier {Chad has lost 18 pounds since our Biloxi trip, me 4. I told him if he ever weighs less than me I will spontaneously explode. I thought that was fair}.

Today we ventured to The Gym. This gym which has taken our money each and every month for the past 3 years and we don't go, ha jokes on them- we don't pay for Chad!

Chad thought that today he would tag along and as the say so eloquently on The Jersey Shore, "Get his fitness on". There he was walking along slowly, getting back into the swing of things, when suddenly a man and wife workout duo, the likes of which he had never seen, walks in and takes the two treadmills on each side of him. He recounted later to me, as if giving a description to Elliott on Law and Order:SVU, what he was put through in those 30 minutes he was trying to do cardio.

Their workout began at a feverish pitch, each one increasing the speed with every passing of the second. Nosies, only common to a R rated movie {or worse!} were coming from each side of him, each person building off the other. Suddenly, they were looking through him and into each others eyes and reaching across his machine. Then, as quickly as it began, it was over. He later asked himself, was I just involved in some sort of fitness menage a trios? All I know is as we departed the gym Chad took a 50 foot "walk of shame" as the couple shared a cigarette outside.

Some people just aren't meant to be gym people. Are we?

{Snowstorm. 2010}

Yall. It snowed! And while all you people in the great white north may know how to handle the beautiful white powder we do not down here in the South...all of Atlanta shut down today.

We heard all week that it was going to snow on Thursday afternoon. This is what I came home to. Awesome.
Then, at 9:00 when I took Charlotte out all of this had fallen. I missed it!
I call this photo, Puppy Paws in the Snow

Look at all of the snow, it is a blizzard!

I went in to the office at lunch time and it was an easy commute and the city was very empty. The city had WAY more snow/ice then we had up here in the sticks, what a disappointment!

I don't think we ever got over freezing today so we are holed up with Charlotte {who is wearing her super cute purple sweater} and a fire just trying to stay warm!

{Fist Pumpin' into 2010}

We rang in the New Year very quietly on the 31st. Mandy and Chris came over and we ordered Chinese and watched Jersey Shore in our pjs. We rang in 2010 and were in bed by 12:15 so we could get rest for our big trip!

We left early Friday morning for Biloxi for a weekend of good food, good drinks and good friends {and too much Jersey Shore talk and The Hangover quotes to count}. We stayed at the Beau Rivage this time, it was ahhhhhmazing, so pretty!

The lobby was still decorated for Christmas.

Creepy carolers that were all over the lobby area...
The shops {and Mandy and Chris :)}

The Mullins
The Eubanks

After dinner on Saturday night, it was the longest dinner ever...maybe some drinks were consumed...
After dinner we went to a dueling piano bar, Chad and Chris were battling the beats Jersey Shore style.
An old man did the Cupid Shuffle and Mandy and I thought it was the funniest thing...you might have had to be there...

There was no shortage of laughing, here were are laughing because we had to retake pictures 10 times because for some reason my undergarments showed through my dress in pictures. It was the strangest thing!

We stayed up so late on Saturday night we let the boys sleep the first half of the drive. Chad and Chris used our snuggies to relax in the back seat, I don't think they appreciate the snuggie like they should.

It was a wonderful trip, even though we only got comped $50...Mandy and I went to the spa, the boys golfed, we ate good food, relaxed a ton, played lots of Wheel of Fortune slots and had a wonderful time together. We missed our other Biloxi companions, the Fowlers, but once baby Huston arrives we can all go back. :)

{Cheers, its 2010!!!}

Can you believe that the whole Y2K panic was 10 years ago!!??!! I was a freshman at UGA and remember that NYE so well, how could it be so long ago???

So here are some of my goals for 2010. I don't want to say resolutions because that just dooms you to fail. Don't you think?

1. Be a healthier me. Eat mostly Gluten Free, more fruits and veggies and less meat.

2. Move more. I would like to be a runner and run 4 5ks this year.

3. Start practicing yoga.

4. Deepen my relationship with God

5. Read the classics- Gone with the Wind, Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mocking Bird to name a few.

What are your resolutions?
