{Happy Halloween!}

What do Chuck Bass, Kim from Real Housewives of Atlanta and Jon and Kate Plus 8 have in common?

They were all part of my Halloween at work yesterday. I dressed up as Chuck Bass, brooding and all, my team's pumpkin was Kim from RHOA and my favorite costume was Stewart and Erin dressed as Jon and Kate, complete with 8 babies.

Chuck and Kate.
Super good brooding...

My pumpkin team {Who gonna check me BOO?} and our amazing pumpkin.
I think the scariest part of this Halloween is that we have to play the Gators, yikes!

{Country road take me home...}

We had an absolutely WONDERFUL weekend, I hated to see it end. It was one of those weekends that make you feel so incredibly blessed you could just burst! It started on Friday, my momma came up and we got to see some friends that night {and eat garlic rolls}.

On Saturday Big Val, Lauren and I hosted a baby shower for Whitney and Baby McMullan. I can't wait until he/she arrives so I can monogram something for it!!! It was all I could do to contain myself from just buying several things and just monogramming it for baby boy AND baby girl!

Saturday night we went out to Jeffery's with the Fowlers and the Mullins and had a blast! I love friends that it is so easy to be around, everything is always laid back and there is never any drama. It was also so fun to hang out with sweet Kaleigh, she was the most wonderful personality {and Chad is smitten with her as well :)}.

Sunday morning we took a road trip with Chad's parents up to Highlands, NC to check out the fall foliage. We ate at The Dillard House {YUM!} and then went shopping up in Highlands. The Summer House is the most WONDERFUL store, I want one of everything! I took lots of pictures of the curtains, I am in desperate need of curtains in the kitchen and dining room and they had just want I wanted.

"You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." (Isaiah 55:12)

{It's so good when it hits your lips}

The "cafe" in my office building serves "Taco Salad" every Wednesday. I use the term cafe and taco salad loosely because does that look like a salad to you? No, its nachos and they are DAMN good. Ahhhh, sweet nectar of liquid cheese...You can get lettuce but why would you do that? No one likes hot lettuce and a big ole vat of bright yellow liquid cheese will just heat that right up! I rarely ever get them but today was just one of those days.

My office stinks still though...

{Two Months people}

That is, until the most glorious time of year, Christmas!!!!!

I have started our Christmas budget {super scaled back then it has been in years past} and started looking at cards and I can't wait until we put out all of the decorations. Is November 1st too soon?

My question to you dear readers- if you don't have kids is it stupid to do a picture card? Do you laugh at the christmas cards with photos of two adults and a dog?

{Slumber Party!!!}

On Friday night we had a slumber party, Jack spent the night {fresh back from Disney World so there were plenty of stories}. It was so fun but I swear Chad and I were WORN out when he left.We went to Chick-fil-a {his FAVORITE restaurant} where he played on the playground, we played with his new Disney World toys, played {lots of} Simon Says and watched Madagascar 2 {twice}. He was so so sweet and even got a little homesick, which broke my heart, but we had so much fun!!!

He slept on a pallet next to our bed. He was so sweet and peaceful looking when he was all curled up and sleeping {and snoring!}. I could just pinch him he is so cute!!!

He loves his Uncle Chad so much! He wouldn't do anything unless Uncle Chad did it or liked it, and they spent a lot of time tickling me or trying to scare me.

Two peas in a pod.

{I can't eat that, its the wrong dog}

Old Box: What a cute little dog!

On Sunday evening we were doing our weekly grocery shopping and Publix had cereals buy one get one free.

Chad: Ohmygosh, this is my favorite cereal. Can I get it? Can I get it?

Me: I don't care, let's put milk on the list so we don't forget.

Chad: {Putting it back on the table} Uhhh, I can't eat this. Its the wrong dog.

And then he didn't get it!!! He is still distraught about it, and hungry in the mornings...

New box: I will say, it does look like a wolf...quite menacing. I don't think I would want it either.
