We hosted a His & Hers shower this weekend {in the midst of TONS of rain showers} for a wonderful family friend. We have been friends with this entire family for a long time, Poochie and Ramsey are best of friends and lived together at UGA.

{Trophy Fisherman}

Meet Peter, Chad's fish. While we were at the lake this weekend we spent a little time fishing...Chad was, by far, the Trophy Fisherman.

We only caught a couple of catfish. It's too bad, we could have changed the shower plans and had a fish fry!

Wedding season is in full force. We have weddings and or wedding showers each weekend for the next few weeks. I love it, Chad does not.

This weekend we are heading down to the lake to host a shower for a good family friend with my parents and Poochie and Cris. It should be a fun weekend, although I hate being down at the lake with bad weather...

Oh well, family time will be fun. See you on the flip side.

We slept until 11:00 on Saturday morning! I don't know the last time I slept that late, we must have really needed it. We did watch Twilight this weekend, I think Chad liked it. :) When we were in Publix last night he pointed to a girl with long dark hair and said "Hey, look- its Jacob the werewolf kid..." Cracked me up as usual...

We did get to go celebrate Jack's birthday yesterday at a Hulk party at his house. Don't you wish your life was so simple that a card that has Shrek on it and played music made your day? I sure do...

+ Twilight comes out on DVD this weekend, I can't wait!! I will be watching it this weekend.

+ We had book club last night, so fun even though I didn't read the book...

- It will be chilly and Chad has to work this weekend

+ Our next book club book is Redeeming Love, I have been wanting to read this forever

+/- We have our first T2 Tennis match tonight, we are 0-10 right now, let hope we can pull out a W-I-N

- My friends mom starts chemo tomorrow, say lots of prayers for her

- We haven't booked a vacation this year, I need that to look forward to...

+ Summer is soon!

+ I ordered Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred yesterday, I can find 20 minutes a day to do this at home {I hope!}

- I feel large and in charge {and PALE}

+ We are planting a vegetable garden this year, I want fresh tomatoes NOW

+ My 10 year reunion is this fall, I can't wait!

+ I love my student I mentor with Everybody Wins, she is so sweet and I really do feel like she is improving!

+ We got a Wii last weekend, now I want a Wii Fit

+ I can't wait to wear flip flops

- I don't like this time change, I can not wake up in the morning

+ Gossip Girl came back this week and I am loving the Real Housewives of NYC

+ I got to spend the past weekend at my parent's house with my entire family {brothers, wives and kids}

+ We are having a Wii Bowling tournament at work tomorrow to raise money for Everybody Wins

Ok, that's 14.5 + and 5.5 -, not to shabby!

{Jack is 4!}

Our nephew Jack turns 4 today, I can't believe it! I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday, that is when I knew Chad really loved me. :)

Chad and I had only been dating 6 months and I got to go to the hospital and meet Jack right away! I knew then that both Chad and his family loved me by letting be part of such a special time.

Happy Birthday Jack- I can't wait to come and celebrate at your Hulk party this weekend!!

{Lent is over at our house}

Ok, I am now going back to being Baptist. This no meat thing is not really working out...I ate eggs and bacon last week anyways :) I ate lunch with Laura {awesomest college roommate EVER} at West Egg and they have an egg sandwich that is TO DIE FOR, how could I not????

Well, I have tried to make smart decisions but this is hard. AND, I have gained 5 pounds!!! I thought vegetarians were skinny, I must not be doing this right...Oh, well. It was a good shot!

{Spring has sprung!}

The weather this weekend has been A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Chad has played golf all weekend and we celebrated an engagement and a birthday last night. We had a blast, it is a shame we never make it down to the city...

We started the night celebrating Pat and Stephanie's engagement {I didn't take any pictures!} and had so much fun seeing coworkers all dressed up in their party frocks!

Then we went down to the Atlanta to The Vortex to celebrate Chris' 28th birthday. We didn't make it in time for supper, {which is fine since they are known for their burgers and it is still Lent...} but we made it for the after party! We went to Tap and had so much fun. Most of the time that I am the DD I get really tired and am ready to go but not last night. We have such wonderful friends and it is always so fun to hang out with them! Chad was so funny last nigh, he was fascinated by the city scene. At one point he said, "I feel like we are on the Hills" and was in awe of the tall buildings. It was as if the poor boy had never seen a high rise! 

Can't wait to do it again!

{Java Love}

We L-O-V-E coffee at our house, like bright pink puffy heart love. My tummy does not love it, that is one thing the Gastroenterologist was adamant about, but who cares- they make a pill for that. We registered for 3 Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee makers because we love a good cup of Joe. FYI- we got all three and it does live up to the hype. I would love to have an espresso machine so I could make lattes, but that's just gettin' too fancy there...

I believe that part of what makes coffee so good is the cup that you drink it in. I am partial to the mugs you can buy at Starbucks and we have started quite the collection but I do feel that there is something about starting your day with that hard paper cup with the java sleeve around it that sets it in the right direction. Anyone know where you can buy those?

I am always in the market for new, wonderful mugs- here are a couple that are tickling my fancy lately. Hope the Easter bunny reads my blog!

{Spring, where are you?}

All of this cold, ice and snow {and having to drive with southerners in the snow} has made me REALLY ready for spring. I have been to http://www.lillypulitzer.com/ several times today to lustfully stare at the pretty spring frocks. Does it make me a total homebody that this is what I really want????

We got a couple of  inches!

Well, March certainly came in like a lion! We have had quite the snow storm here today, I am so happy! I was just thinking that I really wanted to see a good snow this year, I only need one, and then we get one today, March! We have had fun watching it come down, there were HUGE flakes, Charlotte did not like it at all- what a priss! Yea for SNOW days! Atlanta shuts down so if I am able to make it to work I am sure there won't be many people on the road!

Last night we celebrated Poochie's birthday with dinner and a surprise party Cris planned. When we got back to their apartment after supper their friends were there to celebrate! 

I also chopped all my hair off!
