That's a little Sugarland jingle for you and it describes our weekend. We are on our way, as we speak, to Biloxi with the Mullins and the Fowlers for the weekend.
Tonight we are going to a concert, the boys are playing golf and Mandy, Jayme and I plan to get TONS O' SUN! I have been looking forward to the weekend for a while, so glad it is here!
We have NO idea how to gamble. I know how to put something on red or black at the roulette table but that is the extent of my casino knowledge...Maybe we will win big, I have big plans for tons of rooms I want to redecorate in my house and I could really use the money!

Psalms 31: several different verses that are comforting...
Turn your ear to me,
come quickly to my rescue;
be my rock of refuge,
a strong fortress to save me.
Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
Free me from the trap that is set for me,
for you are my refuge.
Into your hands I commit my spirit;
redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.
I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
for you saw my affliction
and knew the anguish of my soul.
You have not handed me over to the enemy
but have set my feet in a spacious place.
Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;
my eyes grow weak with sorrow,
my soul and my body with grief.
My life is consumed by anguish
and my years by groaning;
my strength fails because of my affliction,
and my bones grow weak
But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, "You are my God."
My times are in your hands;
Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the LORD.
Turn your ear to me,
come quickly to my rescue;
be my rock of refuge,
a strong fortress to save me.
Since you are my rock and my fortress,

{Mr. Eubanks' response to G.I. Joe Post}
Seeing how entertaining my love for the white ninja is, I think tomorrow I might do an ebay search for adult size white ninja pajamas. Long live shadow...

{Hole in one!}
Today our nephew, Nathan {is he not the cutest thing you have ever seen???}, hit a hole in one!
We are just so impressed {and Chad is SO jealous :)}
Just don't forget us when you make it on tour...
{A real American hero}
Last night when we were watching TV a commercial for the G.I. Joe movie came on {hello, a Saturday morning in 1985 called, it want's you to stop ripping it off} and Chad had a conniption.
Me: "They did NOT make a G.I. Joe movie"
Chad: "Yeah, it looks like it..."
{I go back to reading, or facebooking, don't judge}
Chad: "Holy sh*!, it has the white ninja! I LOVED THE WHITE NINJA. I HAD WHITE NINJA PAJAMAS" {yes, he was screaming}
And that my friends is how I will get roped in to go see the G.I. Joe movie, damn white ninja...

{A special anniversary}
4 years ago today Chad asked me to marry him. I can't believe it has been that long! I never dated people for a long time, 7-8 months at one time was the longest my relationships ever were. I knew 2 months after dating him {this would be Round 2 of dating, when I was more mature :)} that he was "the one". We were engaged 10 months after we started dating and then married 10 months after that.
I love this man more than anything in the world. He is without the one that God made for me. He knows me so well- knows how to comfort me, love me and make me laugh better than anyone in the world.
July 13th 2005 was the first day of a life that was meant to be for me and I thank God every day for the life he has created for us.

{Another Jackism}
After a delicious meal of hot dogs, mac and cheese and watermelon and watching Toy Story we took Charlotte out to do her biznass.
Charlotte is peeing in the yard.
Jack: "I want to tee tee in the yard too" and proceeds to pull down his pants and tee tee in the yard.
Chad and I died laughing, we are going to be such good role models.

{American Wife or "I really want to piss off Laura Bush}
I chose the book American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld {who's a girl for those who were wondering} for July book club. I liked Prep {by Curtis Sittenfeld also} but didn't love it so I thought we should give this book a try.
Ok, I didn't like it at all. I did read the whole thing but it took me about 6 weeks. It was not a book that pulls you in and makes you want to keep reading {like all of the Twilight books or Tori Spelling books :)} .
This book is loosely based on the life of Laura Bush and if I were her I would be pissed. There are quite a few similarities to Laura's life but the author takes liberties of added a few extras which, in my opinion, are less than flattering to the wife of a former uberconservative president. You think the book is going to be about her life as a first lady and that is only 1/4 of the book, at the very end, and that's what I wanted to read about. I knew that she had more liberal views than the Bush's so I thought it would be interesting to read about how she dealt with them. Not the case at all.
I think it is kind of sad that the author lacked creativity so much that she just took a true story and added a couple of extra items and changed names. I was very disappointed in this book and won't be recommending it to anyone and I think I will wait on picking a book club book for a while :)

{Catch up- Book Club, 4th of July and new neighbors!}
What a busy week it has been since we got back from vacation!
Last week I hosted book club, we spent the day a the the pool with my MIL, SIL and nephew and went to my parent's house to celebrate the 4th of July with the family at the lake and we met our new neighbors. Whew, I need a nap!
We read American Wife for book club this month and I disliked this book so much that I am going to devote an entire post to it...
My parents host a little soiree on the 4th each year {well, the years there aren't weddings, we took 2006 & 2007 off due to my and the little bro's nuptials...} and both sides of the family come. It is so fun, and such a treat to see everyone in the summer! We normally spend a lot of time together November- January due to the holidays so this is a treat.
I made a delicious pineapple salsa that I also made for book club {book club girls were the guinea pigs } as well as a Red Velvet cake and the Lemonade Sweet Tea that is below. This tea is SO good. I don't really like sweet tea {I know, Georgia girl born and bread but I don't like TEA!} but I LOVE me an Arnold Palmer.
Ingredients
3 cups water
2 family-size tea bags
1 (1-oz.) package fresh mint leaves (about 1 cup loosely packed)
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups cold water
1 (6-oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
Garnish: fresh citrus slices
Firefly would be a great addition for an adult only party too...
Preparation
1. Bring 3 cups water to a boil in a 2-qt. saucepan. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and stir in fresh mint. Cover and steep 10 minutes.
2. Remove and discard tea bags and mint. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
3. Pour tea into a 3-qt. container, and stir in 4 cups cold water and lemonade concentrate. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired.
