{It is well with my soul}

I got to eat dinner with my parents last night, it was impromptu and so very needed. It was good for my soul. Sometimes He knows JUST what you need, it is awe inspiring.

I had a pretty tough day yesterday and on my way home my daddy called me asking if we wanted to meet them in Athens for dinner. Why yes I do! I hadn't seen my parents since 4th of July weekend, they don't even live that far away! Chad has a busy weekend at work so I met them alone. Sometimes a girl just needs her mommy and daddy. With the love of my parents and Chad I know there is nothing I can't handle. We talked, prayed and I felt a sense of peace as I left {that is until I saw Chad when I got home and got upset again :) sometimes that boy just makes me emotional}.

I am so lucky to have the love of my parents, Chad, my family and most importantly, Christ, to get me through the tough times in life. I really do think that sometimes He give us struggles to remind us to lean on him, as tough as they are it will draw us closer to Him. In the words of Poochie "He makes us wait for the things that we desire to ensure that we do not desire these things greater than we desire Him." he's a smart one, that Poochie...

I heard this song while driving today, it is so perfect. I of course cried during the chorus {not safe while driving...}

So today's a new day, I will pray that I am strong enough to handle anything that comes my way. And today, I will have a little retail therapy.

I also got all of these delicious homegrown tomatoes from my Daddy's garden. We will be eating tomatoes for every meal!

I started with breakfast, 1 egg, 2 egg whites, cheese and a tomato- DELICIOUS!!!

Have you ever heard the story behind the song "It is Well With My Soul"? If not, definitely worth looking up. :)

I had to laugh at your, "retail therapy" comment...that is SO ME! it's horrible. I try to find a deal, but I'm always spending SOMETHING even if it's not a lot.

I love that song, too ;) gorgeous!

funny how HE has a plan better then our own, or to brighten our day.

I'll be following. stop by sometime.
