{my morning goo}

I have been drinking these for the past week or so and I am officially obsessed. I think my mouth starts watering when I wake up in the morning to get to this delicious goo! I really wish I had a magic bullet so I didn't have to pull out the blender every morning...I just can't justify spending the money on it right now. There are shoes and handbags to buy people!!!

Here is the recipe, I use Trader Joes Vanilla Rice milk so it is gluten free, I tried hemp milk but it made it spicy, me no likey...

Green Goo:
1 cup Trader Joes Vanilla Rice Milk
1.5-2 cups spinach
1/2 frozen banana
3-4 frozen strawberries
3-4 frozen peach slices
1 squirt of agave syrup
1 teaspoon of peanut butter

Blend and enjoy!!! I have tried several versions and this is my favorite. I sometimes use regular milk but blending makes it too frothy. I think I might add a little fat free yogurt to make it creamy as well.

What is your favorite smoothie concoction? Maybe if I have more smoothie recipes I can justify getting the Magic Bullet...

I'll have to look for the rice milk. I make something similar but with fat free vanilla yogurt instead. Mmmm!!

The Magic Bullet is the greatest invention ever so I highly recommend you set your sites on it! My favorite smoothie that I make every morning is

5 frozen strawberries
1/2 frozen banana
1 tblspn of FF Vanilla Yogurt
1 scoop Designer Whey Protein
1 tblspn of Flax seed meal

It is delicious! I have an entire book of smoothie recipes that came with the Magic Bullet. I can bring it in to work for you if you want to copy some!

Yummy...I never thought of the spinach...I agree with Steph, magic bullet is totally worth it! My sister raved about it for years and I didn't see how it was worth it, but it is! My smoothie is Vanilla Soy Milk, Whey protein, blueberry flax seed, pineapple, banana, and strawberries. Most of my ingredients come from Trader Joe's. Yet another reason why I love that place!!!

I love my morning Smoothie too! I use: 1/2 cup of Almond milk, 1/2 cup water (or 1 cup coconut water), 1 scoop flax seed, a handful of spinach, 1/4 c oatmeal, scoop of Whey protein powder, scoop of Amazing grass, 2/3 frozen banana, handful of mixed frozen fruit. Wow! That sounds like a lot of stuff...but it is yummy!
