{What do you call a pretty girl at Georgia Tech?}

A visitor from Athens :)

On Saturday we went to Athens for the final game of the season to cheer on the Bulldogs as they took on the BIG instate rival, Georgia Tech. To say that the conditions were miserable would be an understatement- cold AND rain, but the company was great! My 16 year old cousin went with us to the game, I am trying to sway her to go to UGA so I can live through her! The game was painful to say the least, it is brutal to loose to Tech. I knew that we would have the Sports Illustrated curse! I do love my Georgia Bulldogs and hate to see the season end but the was a painful season to watch, I sure do hope that there are a lot of changes over the next year...

After halftime my dawgs were SUCKING- Tech scored 21 points in six minutes! I have never seen Coach Richt pull the team together during a game...it didn't seem to work.

Lauren and me, freezing and wet!

Cris, Lauren and me tailgating in the parking deck to stay dry...

Lauren and me before we went and sat in the rain. Despite the weather we had a great time!

{Give Thanks}

We are in Chattanooga with my family celebrating the holiday, giving thanks and being merry. I feel so thankful this year, not sure why this year more that others but none the less...

I am thankful...
  • for my sweet husband. He makes me laugh everyday and I love him more today then I did the day we got married.
  • for my sweet Charlotte, the best little cockapoo a girl could ask for.
  • for my family's health. It was so difficult to loose my Grandmama and I know that Thanksgiving will be hard but I am thankful that everyone is healthy.
  • for my amazing friends. It has taken me 27 and 1/2 years to figure out that it is more important to a few really close friends you can rely on no matter what then to have 100 acquaintances.
  • for my job. I am so thankful that in May I saw this amazing opportunity in my current company and went for it! It has been nothing but a blessing since I started.
  • for blogging! I have "met" some amazing people via blogging and it is an easy way to have a creative outlet. I love it!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, make a good wish with the wishbone!!!

{Kraft foods, how we get to eat a homemade meal each night...}

I have a long commute, we all know this. Because of this it is really easy to fall into the eating out all of the time trap. Due to our new venture of Dave Ramsey's total money makeover and our vanity for our waistlines so not expand we try to cook every night except Friday and Saturday. My sister-in-law, Kristy, introduced me to Kraft Food & Family Magazine and let me tell you, it is AMAZING!!! Over the past week and a half I have made the three recipes below and ALL of them were amazing. And, best part- they don't take very many ingredients, don't take too much time and there is PLENTY left over so we eat it for a couple of days. They include the nutritional information with each recipe as well as tips to make it healthier and how to spice it up!
Here are the three dishes I have made:

Breakfast Bake {I served this with a side salad}

French Onion-Pork Chop Skillet {This has been our FAVORITE!}

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"

We had a wonderful weekend, Christmas is in the air at the Eubanks' house!! Chad had fun on the manly hunting trip and Charlotte and I had a blast on our girls night :) I am a night owl so I love to stay up late and sleep in and that is just what we did! I spent Saturday cleaning the house and I started to put up our Christmas decorations, I haven't put up our smaller UGA tree or the wreaths on the outside of the house, just some items inside for us to enjoy!

On Saturday night we went to a 50th birthday party of a close family friend. We have been friends with the family for a LONG time and it was so fun to celebrate with them! Since it was light snacks and we were down in the big city we went to Houston's {YUM SPINACH DIP!!!} and had a nice little date! Our Sunday was spent cleaning {more! Man I miss my cleaning lady!!!} and finishing the decorations. I am so excited for the short work week, I can't wait to see my family in Tennessee this week. And, my younger cousin will be my date to the Georgia/Georgia Tech game this weekend! I am trying to convince her to become a Bulldog!!!

I love Sex and the City, the movie and all of the episodes {even on TBS}. I think I should just bite the bullet and spend the money to buy all of the episodes in the box set...I would never leave the couch!

I will say that the part where Charlotte Poughkeepsied in her pants is by far the best part of the movie. When we came back from Mexico this almost happened to me on the Peachtree access road...And yes, this is where we got our puppy name from...

{Hunts in the Woods}

Tonight is the annual Hunt Hunting trip. Yes, my man is in the woods forging for food {in his Polo and Brooks Brothers no less...} I drove to Athens tonight and ate dinner with my mom, Rafferty's soup and salad, natch} and then we walked through Target to peruse items we couldn't live without {I did by 3 Christmas gifts and the CUTEST necklace I have EVER seen!} Now Charlotte and I are curled up on the couch with a bottle of The Little Penguin and are watching Sex and the City, what a WONDERFUL evening!

Tomorrow I will be cleaning the whole house so I can put up Christmas Decorations and we have a 50th and a 30th Birthday party to attend. The new necklace will make its debut tomorrow night! Oh, and I will pick up the Christmas cards. Even with all of the comments choosing number 1 I actually ordered the second brown and blue one {sorry to ruin the surprise for all of those on my Christmas card list!}

{Christmas is coming!}

I love Christmas, I am bit obsessed if you as Chad. I am DYING to put up my decorations and he is discouraging me, he thinks we need to get through Thanksgiving first...Well I am not going to let that stop me!

Yesterday, while watching the Georgia/Auburn game {talk about a nail bitter!} I made my tags for gifts. I also started my Christmas shopping this weekend, my nephew will be dressing like a Storm Trooper come Christmas Eve. And today we went to Judy's so she could use her fancy camera and make our picture for our Christmas card. The two I am deciding between are above, they are from www.kodakgallery.com. I love both of them, I am going to have a hard time choosing!

We have had the best weekend, I hate to see it end.

{Sweet baby Brody}

Meet sweet baby Brody, he is my cousin David's little boy and cute as can be! He was born earlier this year and when he was five weeks old he went to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta because of a high fever and was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.

It took them a LONG time to figure out what was wrong with him {at one point the family turtle was sent packing because they were told Brody had salmonella from the family pet!} and it turned out he had a rare form of spinal bifida. Brody, David and Candace will be on the Star 94 Cares for Kids radiothon this week! This is a great organization so all of my Georgia peps should listen for him and give to this AMAZING hospital!

{day off shenanigans}

I had a doctors appointment yesterday so I took the day off {I loose my vacation days if I don't use them so I am only working one full week in November!} Chad apparently gets Veteran's Day off as well {who knew!} so we got to spend the day together.

We went to lunch at Einstein's {yummy turkey sandwich!!} then we hit up Circuit City, well them must not be going out of business any time soon because only 10% was taken off of everything. No- everything must NOT go right now...I went to Old Navy and they are having a HUGE sale on outerwear, 50% off! I got this new coat for $50. The website doesn't have them at 50% off which is kind of strange...

Then we got CRAZY! We decided to head up to the North Georgia Premium outlets, not too far away since we practically live in South Carolina! Those are the BEST outlets- Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Williams Sonoma, Kate Spade, Burberry, Coach, Cole Haan, the list goes on and on! Their Polo and Brooks Brothers stores are a lot bigger too...

It was a great day, I love when we have random days that have no plan!! And best of all- we only spent $50 at Old Navy!!

{The Big Thank You}

The local Atlanta radio station I listen to on my way in to work is doing something HUGE for Thanksgiving and our troops. They are trying to get over 1,000,000 messages on a website to show support for our troops all over the world. Take some time out of your day, it only takes 5 seconds, and show your support.

{GA/FL Weekend}

We had a great time with my parents this past weekend at the GA/FL game {besides the MASSACRE we took from Florida...}. We went to Jekyll Island and spent the weekend with Bulldog fans {I wore my Dawgs for McCain pin all weekend!}. I loved this gator fan's orange and blue overalls, and it is true GATOR FANS WEAR JEAN SHORTS!

"Americans never quit. We never surrender. We never hide from history. We make history.
Thank you, and God bless you, and God bless America. " ~ John McCain
We have made HISTORY! Even if "my" candidate did not win the race I can proudly say that I am beyond proud of the history that was made last night. My children will never understand how amazing this election was, it will be normal to them and that is an amazing feeling. While I might not agree with all of his polices I am excited to call Mr. Obama my president because we could all use a change. I will support him and am still proud to be an American. If you do not embrace the change that has come it will be a LONG four years. I hope that the change he has promised comes to fruition and that America prospers.
John McCain ran a class act race and I am proud to be a McCain supporter, what an amazing speech he delivered last night! So embrace this Republicans, this is your future...

{Happy Election Day}

"We must be the change we wish to see in the world." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Chad and I did our civic duty this morning and were in line at 6:45, out at 9:00. I am excited {and nervous} to see what the next few hours bring and I pray constantly that the country is a better place when all of the votes are tallied and the race is won.
