{My Name Twin}
I just met someone with my name. I am talking my god given name, not married. This girl was also Allison H_ _ _. The world did not explode, I thought it might.
{I Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues...}
I went to Memphis for the day yesterday, I had never been. I had to go visit a client and got to sight see as well. I had never been to Memphis before, even though we were THIS close to moving there at the beginning of last year.
After our meetings ended we had three choices: downtown, Graceland or Tunica. I was with 2 other coworkers who had never been to "downtown Mempsis" so that is where we landed. We had rented a car so we drove around. In our little excursion I saw:
After our meetings ended we had three choices: downtown, Graceland or Tunica. I was with 2 other coworkers who had never been to "downtown Mempsis" so that is where we landed. We had rented a car so we drove around. In our little excursion I saw:
- The Pyramid- holy solar panel mirrors batman, you can't see a thing driving in that area
- St. Jude's campus- very nice!
- The Mighty Mississippi- I don't think I had ever seen it before, not sure...
- Mud Island- don't get it...
- Beale Street- looks fun!
- The Orpheus
- Lorraine Motel/Civil Rights Museum
We actually went to the Civil Rights Museum which was actually built at the sight of the Lorraine Motel {which is where MLK was assassinated}. That was an amazing place, very heavy, and such a part of history I know little about. Did you know that today is the anniversary of the famous "I have a dream" speech? Little tidbit I picked up, well worth the $14 if you ask me...It really was an amazing place and I highly recommend visiting if you are in Memphis. I even ate some Corkey's BBQ, yum!!! Over all a very interesting work trip but a really good one. Happy to be home now though!

{Plates, Pineapples & Pictures}
This weekend I found myself at home alone, again, as Chad worked. I had cleaned all day long and decided to run up to the Braselton Antique mall to see if there was anything I couldn't live without. Our house could use some nick nack decorating touches and I thought that this would be the perfect place. I was right! I could have spent hours there, and made a scarecrow, Hoschton is trying to make the Guiness Book of World records by having the most scarecrows. They are aiming for 4,000- I don't think that many people even live in Hoschton! I have to admit, it is quite scary...
Here is what I got...2 geranium plates, 2 pineapple looking finials and 2 botanical birthday pictures.
I put the geranium plates above my sink. {Please ignore the fact that I have no curtains up in my kitchen...}
The two books {East of Eden and The Grapes of Wrath} along with the new finials went on top of the entertainment center...
And the 2 botanical birthday picture went in our bedroom above the dresser. We have 2 of the larger botanical prints in our foyer and when I saw these smaller ones of May and December {our birth months!} I knew they were meant to come home with me!
Up close of the print...
I could spend every penny I make on my house, I swear!

{How thrifty am I?}
I ate a tofu taco from my beloved Barberitos last night and my tummy is PISSED. I have not felt well all day so dinner was a challenge tonight. My hubby wanted grilled cheese and tomato soup, yummy, sounds great! One problem- when I made the grocery store run the other day I did not plan this as a meal so we didn't have any soup. Well, I wasn't going to let that stop me! I found a can of Hunt's tomato sauce in the pantry added it to a pot with some milk {and baking soda so the milk wouldn't curdle}, dried basil and some minced garlic cloves. Let me tell you, it was slap your momma good! I think I impressed Chad with my culinary skills tonight. Paula ain't got nothin' on me!

{One tired Pup}
Well...someone I know, not naming names {Starts with a C, furry, short and brown} can't hang with her new fit and trim mom! This is my sweet girl after we went 2 miles tonight. I had to pick her up and carry her part of the time. I guess that just means she will have to go with me more!
{Ummmm...Okay}
So Big Foot really DOESN'T live in the North Georgia Mountains? No shit Sherlock. Does anyone else find this story extremely bizarre? Did no one feel the need to do a little think call RESEARCH before publishing this story? Could they not tell by LOOKING at the creature it was a rubber suit? I am just in awe that this is even in the news. What, is Lochness in Lake Lanier now too? And Santa* lives in Royston next door to the Easter Bunny?
It was in the NY Times! Look at these people, NICE!! Do you wear camo so the Sasquatch won't see you hiding the woods?? What is the appropriate attire for tracking a half man half ape creature?
* I apologize if I just crushed your dreams of Santa. No Virginia, there is no Santa. That's the cold hard truth we all have to face...

{Love- 9}
That would be my and Jayme's record in T2 Tennis over the past two seasons. That's right folks, we haven't won once! If you add my and Chad's season to that I am 1-13, and I only have that one because Jayme and Stacy took the opponent out when they played them. I kid, I kid {but he really did get hurt in that match!}. I am not sure why we aren't winning, we are playing well and we are pretty evenly matched with our opponents. Last night we lost the first set 6-1, won the 2nd 7-5 {we were losing 5-3 and came back and won!!!} and then lost the 3rd set 6-0. I swear they weren't that much better than us, we must have used ALL our energy to win that 2nd set.
Once more match this season and then it is time for mixed doubles, look out T2 the Eubanks are BACK!!!

{Our little Beggar}
How do you say no to this sweet face? She always gets to share ice cream {or fruit loops} with her dad...
{Preacher Poochie}
Last night I went to Cris and Poochie's house for a little shin dig celebrating Poochie. He is about to start seminary at Asbury and he just got a new job at Chick-fil-a. He works in the Chick-fil-a headquarters doing some sort of nerdy thing with computers, not sure what. I do know that he gets lunch for free everyday. Hello, I would be 500 pounds if I got to each Chick-fil-a everyday. Yes, I already asked, it does included the crack laced milkshakes. YUM! It was so fun to hang out with the fam last night, my parents and Cris' parents came as well.
Way to go Poochie, we are all so proud of you and love you bunches!!

{Guest Blogger: Charlotte}
Dear Mom and Dad:
As you can tell by my incessant barking at midnight {or later} I am not really comfortable in my bed, crate, cage, whatever you want to call it. I get a bit claustrophobic and I would much rather sleep with you- that way, I am able to wake you up to play whenever I want! Since I know that is not an option I perused Amazon today when you were at work, trying to kill time until you get home and give me more ice cubes, and I came across these beauties. Take a look, I think they will all go nicely with the look I am trying to achieve in my room.
For when I am feeling preppy...
For when I am feeling sassy...
For when I am feeling girly...
For when I am feeling young at heart...
So, take a look and let me know what you think. I love you bunches, and just remember that I wouldn't bark in the middle of the night if you would just let me stay with you. I'm just throwing that out there...
Love,
Charlotte

{Insomnia}
As you can tell, I have changed my layout. What you don't know is that I did it at 3:30 this morning because I could not sleep...it was horrible. I had some coffee last night around 8:30-9 and I did not fall asleep until 4:30 this morning and that was with the help of Tylenol PM. I was tossing and turning and around 2:30 Chad got called into work so I got up and drank a glass of milk, that did nothing. So I surfed the web, that did nothing. So I took some Tylenol PM and grabbed my puffalump and snuggled into bed and finally fell asleep. That has never happened to me before and it was the most frustrating thing ever! Chad got back around 6:00 and I woke up but I luckily fell right back asleep. I am so tired right now but I am going to the gym and the grocery store. I am sure it will be an early night!

{Etsy and Pay Pal- I LOVE YOU!}
So I just caught up with the times and started a Pay Pal account, I never bought or sold anything on eBay before so I didn't need it. Well, as you all know I have now sold 3 items on eBay and have money in my Pay Pal account...
So today I am working late for the team {we are alternating throughout the summer so others can leave at 1:00} and it is so quiet so I head on over to Etsy to see what all of the fuss is about. Well let me tell you, it is AMAZING!!! I love it! I bought the 3 items below and used my eBay money, it was like free money!!! I am afraid that I may have a new obsession and I might go through my house this weekend to find items to see on eBay...
Cute head band from Precocious:
Super Cute earrings {they were $4.50 and $6!} from dangsworld
{1 Hour and 34 Minutes until the weekend!}
Date night was great, it is so nice to get to spend time together. It seems like we have been busy lately with work, tennis and such. Wednesday night we had our first Book Club meeting at our house and Chad was banished to the guest room to watch a movie.
We don't have much going on this weekend. Jayme and I have a tennis match tonight and then I think we are going to do something with our hubbies, hopefully we will win! Chad is working this weekend so I will just chill out. I really want to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II, hopefully I will be able to sweet talk some of my friends into going and seeing it. Nothing else to report, we are laying low and not doing much. I am ok with that because the fall always seems to be so busy. We will be going to some football games and a wedding in Florida {Shout out to Caroline!!!} so I will take these low key weekends when I can get them!

I have a date tonight! My man just called and said he got some CASH MONEY at work today and wants to treat me to some tacos. My, my- my man know how to sweet talk me. I'll take Barberitos over flowers any day!
{Wicked}
Not sure if all my Georgia peaches know this but Wicked is coming to the Fox in October! I am so excited, my Daddy offered to pay for the Hunt girls to go see it. We were going to see it when we took our girls trip to NYC last November but it was during the Broadway strike so we missed it {the strike ended the day we left!} . The Fox will be much cheaper than the Broadway tickets, we are really saving him money...what good wife, daughter and daughter-in-laws are we?
I am so excited, I can't wait to go. Thank you thank you thank you Daddy!!!

{Talk about pressure!}
The cover of Sports Illustrated? Yikes, that is a lot to live up to!
I know the Bulldogs have been in the news lately, for less than stellar reasons, and all I can say is kudos to his royal hotyness, Mark Richt. Unlike the Criminoles or Miami, we like to suspend our players and all that people seem to want to talk about is how embarrassing this is. People- these are college BOYS! Yes, they drink. Yes, they fight. {And because of said drinking they pee in public} They aren't stealing, hurting anyone or destroying any property. While they did make some poor choices, unlike me and my friends their poor choices end up in the newspaper. Not naming any names but a certain someone I may or may not be married to DID punch someone in Boars Head...just saying.
So boys, calm down and lay low for a while. Only 25 days to go and then the only thing they will be reporting on is your awesomeness!!!
{Friendship Oath}
1. When you are sad -- I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on mountain dew.
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick -- Stay away from me until you are well. Again. I don't want whatever the heck you have.
8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy butt.
This is my oath.... I pledge it to the end. 'Why?' you may ask; 'because you are my friend'.

{Happy Birthday Charlotte!}
The birthday girl.
Charlotte is ready for football season, only 4 weeks to go!
Charlotte enjoying her birthday frosty!
This weekend we celebrated Charlotte's birthday, she was 2 years old yesterday! {Or as Chad sees her, 14 years old :)} She got part of Chad's frosty and yes, we sang Happy Birthday to her.
This whole saving money and not spending money has become an adventure! Yesterday we took all of our loose change to Coin star and cashed it in. We thought we had about $15-$20, nope $103! I also sold 3 items on eBay, $65 there! It is so funny how we have made this a game, we are trying to see how much money we can have in our checking account at the end of the month so we are getting creative in ways to get "fun money". Chad took his half and went to Zaxby's and the golf course, I am going to buy a dress for the beach wedding we are going to in September.
